As a Staffing Leader, How Active Do You Need to Be on SocMed?

Listen up, Staffing Leaders! If you’re wondering whether or not you need to be active on social media, I’m here to tell you…

In today’s digital age, you gotta be where the people are. And the people are on social media. Whether you’re scrolling through your feed, engaging with your audience, or showing off your company’s culture, social media is a crucial tool for any successful Staffing Leader. But don’t just take my word for it.

In this piece, we’ll dive deep into the benefits of social media for Staffing Leaders and how you can use it to take your leadership game to the next level. So buckle up, grab your smartphone, and get ready to become a social media superstar. Trust me, and your followers will thank you.

A Must: The Presence of Leaders on Social Media

Exercise thought leadership in every platform you wish to navigate. Social media platforms are the gateway to connecting to your market. Through them, you get to know the people you want to reach and understand how they view things.

With 72 percent of Americans actively going online, you have all these people that you can learn from and may even change their lives for the better through the services you offer. 1 Here are some standards to take note of when navigating the digital world with your impact.

Establish Your Values Through Authenticity

Your authentic digital presence is a need to increase the value of your products and services. A Matter Communications data gathered that 81 percent of online consumers say their interest in an item or service was greatly impacted by influencers.2 Individuals are looking to follow influential people who are genuine and relatable more than actual brands, according to 61 percent of respondents.

As a thought leader, you don’t have to be that person who’s always participating in every trend they see. Create content that is true to you in a format you are comfortable producing. Always remember that you should be enjoying what you put out in the world before someone else does.

Wipe Away Disinformation from Online Spaces

As an expert in your field, take this chance to lead people to accurate solutions. Be the first to present the most recent well-researched data. However, be prepared if someone with more expertise than you starts adding to your discussion.

With the pursuit of leaders to be more inclusive, an example of prominent disinformation that needs to be fought repeatedly is those against women leaders, particularly those in politics. The most common attacks are centered on fake promiscuous pasts about them. During the 2020 U.S. Elections, women candidates were thrice more likely to be the victim of disinformation attacks than men. This specific kind of gendered disinformation may lead to the regression of women’s rights.3

Explore Possibilities for Your Brand

As an initiator, it is one of your gifts to your team to guide them through beneficial trends and practices. Take the time to view what strategies other companies are implementing on their social media accounts.

Learn from the feedback of vocal individuals about the products and services they have tried. Consumers are familiar with what they need, and they’ll let their friends know when something has made them happy or aggravated them. The most personal thoughts about brands can be found in the comments section. Include them in your browser to improve your offerings.

Platforms to Explore

As a leader in staffing, you know that your accessible talent pool is almost as wide as the corners of the internet. Social media platforms are where your most visible candidates may congregate. These places are also where you can demonstrate your work, why you love it, and why people should work with you.

Here are the platforms you can use to find future applicants and clients. Remember only to choose a few that can work best for you.

1. Introduce Your Work Environment Through LinkedIn and Facebook

Help your candidates know about your job openings and activities through these websites. As the biggest social network globally, Facebook can help present your business to its gigantic monthly user count of 2.9 billion.4 Meanwhile, LinkedIn has 900 million users across 200 countries.

The things you may post, other than the expected job openings, are company events and veteran employee stories—including yours—that can inspire your followers. Give them a concrete overview of what to expect if they work with you.

According to Adobe, posting on Facebook should make you a regular on people’s feeds. You may post one to two times per day, up to twice a weekday, and only once on the weekend. On the other hand, LinkedIn suggests that you post once per business day.5

2. Tell Your Brand Story Through Instagram and TikTok

Instagram and TikTok are filled with hardworking influencers. Through these mobile apps, you would want to focus on content people can relate to. Address pain points with care and present your life’s mundaneness in and out of the office. You may talk about the ups and downs of your career or something as light as what you do during your lunch breaks.

For Instagram, one image or carousel post a day works. With their current strive to cater to video content, you may post up to two Instagram Reels per day. To stay afloat on TikTok’s algorithm, uploading up to three videos daily is recommended.

3. Swiftly Update and Be Updated on Twitter

People easily express their heartaches and call out injustice through anonymous tweets, which can still benefit you.6 With Twitter’s regularly updated trends and short postings, you can find the most recent news about your industry and the freshest feedback about your company. They may tell you about their interview experiences with your team or what they think is good about your firm.

Take advantage of this platform by responding to people as quickly as possible and updating them about immediate changes in your personal life or work. You may encounter users you never knew, but use your Twitter account to be approachable and present. Aim to post up to thrice a day. You may start with a greeting or an affirmation at the start of your day.

4. Form Communities through Facebook Groups, Reddit, and Discord

Online groups are great for starting discussions; you can dig deeper through channels and threads. Talking to like-minded people can bring up specific issues in the staffing industry from employers and employees.

You may discuss various hiring processes and how to care for your candidates. Expect other employers to share their strategies and for applicants to discuss their unforgettable interviews.

You may choose to form your group or join an existing one. If you plan to create your community from scratch, be ready to have admins who can co-manage with you eventually. The people will post on their own once you have set up a comfortable atmosphere for everyone.

Have More Fruitful Online Experiences Through Truth-Centered Stories.

Whichever digital tools you select to be active in, always be mindful of being well in your private life first. Setting your boundaries can lead you to a more abundant social presence. Whatever truth you cultivate in your heart, whether you feel okay or upset, will overflow to those who witness you.
